Naturalism represented the whole world as frosty and heartless, and person's fate is determined by heredity, contemporary society and natural forces. Naturalism focused on poverty, cruelty, and war. A significant idea of naturalism was that human beings could disappear and it might have no effect on the whole world because we are obsolete. Naturalism focuses on the negative side of things, usually with little or no humor. Jack London, author of " To Build a Fire", was just one of various naturalistic authors. His story has 3 main concepts incorporated into it. The main thought is that existence isn't fair, nothing is likely to go how you want inside your life. An additional is that individuals are obsolete in the galaxy. The last primary idea is that life goes on. These 3 main tips of naturalism are depicted in " To Build a Fire".
The idea that life just isn't fair can be described as major part of naturalism, and this is shown many times in London's story. The character in his tale has to defeat many obstructions on his journey, but in the final he dead anyways. His first, and biggest, obstacle is the severe cold; the complete story involves the harsh and unforgiving weather. When he initially removes his gloves to make a fire his hands deep freeze almost instantly in the cold, yet he gets his fireplace going and warms up. At this point in the story it appears as though humans usually are as pointless as naturalism suggests. But when he falls in the water then fails to create a fire, causing him cold to death, the idea that existence isn't fair is present. It appears unfair intended for him to die all things considered the things that this individual endured, although that is what naturalism is all about.
In naturalistic stories humans are worthless to the universe, and if i was to go away, the world would be just fine. This kind of idea is shown may be the story mainly because when he dies at the end the earth doesn't quit, everything retains going and the universe basically affected whatsoever. A cold and merciless world decides each of our fate and cannot alter that.
